The President now needs an Economist Gotabaya - Dr. Rohan Gunaratne

The war has ended and what the President now needs is an Economist Gothabaya. This reference has been made by Dr. Rohan Gunaratne, an internationally recognized researcher on guerilla terrorism.

He made this reference in an interview with a weekend newspaper. Pointing out that the President took a prudent decision in deploying Gotabaya Rajapaksa for the proper handling in ending the war, Dr. Gunaratne said Gotabaya Rajapaksa should deserve credibility for his heroism in the battle. If it was not done, all these victories could have been lost.
The Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Police, the Civil Defence Department, the Intelligence Service and the Foreign Ministry no doubt made a critical contribution to the battle against terrorism. Dr. Gunaratne opined that one single institution cannot be credited with the victory over terrorism.

Gotabaya Rajapaksa had a better awareness on the war. Dr. Gunaratne attributed the victory to the confidence and team spirit of Gotabaya Rajapaksas Group. As the President directed Gotabaya Rajapaksa to the battle against terrorism, he also had to find another Gotabaya to rebuild the economy. This, Dr. Gunaratne in his interview added, will help to carry forward all plans of the President.
