PBS, Tavis Smiley Show with Foreign Secretary at 7PM on Wednesday, Feb 18th

According to Ananda Wickramasinghe, Consul General for Sri Lanka in Los Angeles, the PBS TV network has now agreed to provide a live TV coverage to explain the position of the Sri Lankan Government about its efforts in bringing everlasting peace and harmony to all Sri Lankans including Tamil citizens, who are trapped by the LTTE and being used as human shields. Appearing on Tavis Smiley Show on the PBS last week, Sri Lankan born U.K. based music rapper Maya Arulpragasam (M.I.A.) accused the Sri Lankan government of genocide.

Accordingly, Tavis Smiley Show on the PBS TV network will telecast a live interview (via satellite) with Dr. Palitha Kohona, the Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka.

The live telecast will take place as follows:-

In Los Angeles, it will air on Wednesday, February 18th 2009 - KCET - PBS on "Tavis Smiley" at 7.00 PM (Pacific Time). Please check with PBS for your local timings.

Repeat telecast at 11.00 PM (Pacific Time).
